What time does The Amazing Race 33 episode 1 start tonight? (January 5)

After a long wait (one of the longest waits ever for TV), The Amazing Race 33 is ready to kick off! What time does The Amazing Race 33 start and how can you be sure to watch it as it airs? Or, if you’re not going to watch it right away, where can you stream The Amazing Race online? We’ve got all the details for you here!
When COVID began to arrive, all shows and movies halted production to care for its staff and crew. Since then, most shows and movies have picked back up, but it took a little longer (okay, way longer) for The Amazing Race to hit the road again.
Fans were truly lucky that The Amazing Race season 32 filmed before the pandemic so the network was able to give us the episodes. However, season 32 wrapped on Dec. 16, 2020. Filming for season 33 of the show didn’t start until February 2020, which is when the pandemic was stronger than ever and the public still didn’t know much about it. TV Line shares that, after three legs, production was forced to halt. But now, the race can finally continue!
What time does The Amazing Race 33 premiere start tonight?
The special 2 hour season premiere begins at 8 p.m. ET only on CBS. The episode is titled “It Can’t Be That Easy” and it will see the historic 33rd trip around the world kick off with 11 new teams taking off from their homes. Their first destination is London, England. This is going to be exciting! I feel like The Amazing Race has always provided audiences with a fun escape at the end of our day.
