If there is one thing Bull fans have become accustomed to over the years, it’s sudden and often unexpected cast departures.

In season 2, original cast member Annabelle Attanasio left the series in a shocking fashion when her character Cable McCrory was killed off in shocking fashion. And just this season, the series bid farewell to TAC’s longtime in-house legal counsel Benny Colon as a result of actor Freddy Rodriguez’s firing from the show during the off-season.

So needless to say, there is more than cause for concern among fans regarding the future of another beloved member of the cast given the way in which the show’s winter premiere kicked off.

Did Marissa leave TAC?

In the Bull season 6 winter premiere, “False Positive,” Marissa decides to meet with a rival company about a potential job after struggling with her treatment at TAC in recent months. The storyline is one that has been building all season long as Marissa has struggled with being overlooked and not treated as an equal by Jason.

As the episode began, Jason and Chunk stumble upon Marissa having lunch with Bradley Lena, the head of a rival company. Curious to see what the lunch was about, Jason approached the pair and Marissa admitted they were discussing a job offer.

Following the unexpected encounter, the gravity of the situation finally begins to hit Jason and he finally makes Marissa the offer she’s long overdue with a deal to match Bradley’s offer (plus 20 percent), give her the freedom to do whatever she deems best with for TAC when it comes to how to use her algorithm and finally give her her own offer.

Marissa quickly accepts the offer but, in the final scene of the episode, the writers threw a curveball audiences’ way that left fans in shock and wondering whether Marissa would be leaving Bull.

When calling Bradley to turn down his offer, Bradley reveals one final perk he hadn’t gotten around to showing her which turned out to be a game-changer: adding her name above the door.

In the end, it wasn’t about her name being added to a door but rather being a part of a company where her value is known and not something that she has to argue for or negotiate. For that reason, she chooses to accept Bradley’s offer and leave TAC.

Is Geneva Carr leaving Bull?

Considering Marissa announced her decision to leave TAC in the Bull winter premiere, the burning question on the minds of fans is whether Geneva Carr is about to become the latest original cast member to leave the series.

Given Marissa has quit TAC, it’s a reasonable concern to have. While it does appear Marissa will be leaving TAC, at least for the time being, the good news is Geneva Carr is not leaving Bull and will remain a part of the cast moving forward.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Marissa’s storyline plays out in the upcoming episodes and just how long she might remain away from TAC. Given the build-up of the storyline, we can’t imagine the writers would have her leave TAC only to return an episode or two later which could allow for some interesting storylines.

While it will be odd not seeing Marissa around in TAC, at least fans can rest at ease in knowing Geneva Carr is not leaving the series and will remain a part of the Bull cast.
