Why Stranger Things is one of the best shows on streaming
Out of all the programs on this list, there’s only one supernatural series that gained a cult following. Netflix certainly impressed all with this adaptation of the graphic novels, managing to stay true but also delving deeper into the universe.
Those who adore supernatural shows and love the 1980s nostalgia will certainly want to check out this Netflix Original. It’s everything you need and more, with twists, turns, danger, and special powers. And while it looks like the kids are the only useful people in the town, there are adults who play important roles.

5. The Boys
Where to stream: Amazon Prime Video
Number of seasons: 2 (so far)
Synopsis: The Boys is set in a world where superheroes aren’t the all-good, world-saving guys and gals that we’ve come to know. They’re celebrities, and with stardom comes huge egos and a sense of entitlement. They think they can get away with anything, and they can with the help of the corporation Vought supporting them.
Not everyone views them as the good guys, though. There are people out there who know the truth. They’re known as the vigilante group, The Boys, who will do everything they can to take down the Supes. F&$k Supes!
Why The Boys is one of the best shows on streaming
If you’re fed up of the superhero genre. The Boys is most definitely the series for you. It’s a chance to see Supes as they’d likely be in the real world.
The series isn’t one to take all that seriously. It’s packed with humor and terrible “cockney” accents, but that’s what makes it so awesome. There is a lot of violence while also touching on present-day topics in entertaining and gory ways.
