2. Ted Lasso

Where to stream: Apple TV+

Number of seasons: 2, but the second season is currently airing new episodes on a weekly basis. The series has already been renewed for a third season.

Synopsis: Ted Lasso is a college football coach from Kansas with a can-do attitude and a smile for everyone. When he’s inexplicably recruited to coach for one of the Premier League football teams in England, he ends up spreading his unique brand of positivity to everyone he meets.

Why Ted Lasso is one of the best shows on streaming

It may seem odd to say this, but Ted Lasso will make you feel like shows like Schitt’s Creek make you feel. It’s like that first warm embrace from a beloved friend after you both got vaccinated. Remember that hug? How wonderfully soothing and joyful it was? That’s Ted Lasso in a nutshell.

While Ted Lasso is ostensibly a show about a football team, the team itself is a conduit for stories about dogged determination, teamwork, and meaningful connections. Yes, there’s football, but it mostly takes a back seat to the larger picture of the bonds that are formed between people, the hope that all of us have the ability to change, and the belief in a better tomorrow. Oh, and biscuits. Biscuits are awesome and tea is the devil.  Just watch Ted Lasso. You’ll get it.

Elizabeth Olsen is Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany is Vision in Marvel Studios’ WANDAVISION, exclusively on Disney+. /

1. WandaVision

Where to stream: Disney+

Number of seasons: 1

Synopsis: WandaVision takes place just weeks after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame. The miniseries follows Wanda living with Vision in the life they talked about getting while still with the Avengers. No one knows how it’s possible for Vision to still be alive, or how Wanda is controlling the entire town — or is it something else?

Why WandaVision is one of the best shows on streaming

WandaVision features brilliant acts from Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The miniseries even scored multiple Emmy nominations, praising Olsen and Bettany’s powerful performances.

If you love Marvel, WandaVision is a must-see. However, even if you haven’t watched all the MCU movies, WandaVision can’t be missed. You’ll understand and enjoy the series better if you’re familiar with the universe, but I promise you’ll love it nonetheless.
