Who plays Young Cal Jacobs in Euphoria season 2 episode 3?

It was hard for Euphoria fans to stay mad at the forever-menacing Cal Jacobs this week as his somber backstory shed some light on why he’s the villain that he is today.

In the backstory, we saw a much younger Cal Jacobs fall in love with his best friend Derek, and though the two couldn’t be with one another for unspoken reasons, it was clear as day that these two were soulmates harshly torn apart by things outside of their control.

While most fans were reeling in their feelings about the heartbreaking origin story, many others were desperately wanting to know just who was that handsome face playing Young Cal. Young Cal Jacobs is played by none other than Elias Kacavas, an early-to-mid-20s actor from Manchester, New Hampshire.

As he is still considered a fresh-face, not much is known about Elias other than the fact that he briefly attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a major drama before dropping out to pursue acting on his own, but his Instagram, thankfully, does shed a little more light on just who this on-the-rise star is.

Based on his account, we can tell that he loves the vintage aesthetic, is excited about his acting career, and, of course, is fond of the guitar. Prior to his Euphoria role, Elias starred in a couple of shorts in 2019 such as House of Fluff and The Death of a Matriarch. However, according to his IMDb, he has some more exciting stuff on the way as he is set to star in the HBO Max original series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin as Greg.
