Pam & Tommy shakes things up on Hulu on Feb. 2. The series follows the rocky romance between Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee after the unauthorized release of a sex tape. Who stars in the series and what exactly will it be about? Here’s everything to know.
Though I’m not saying the Hulu streaming platform has not already had some great hit series, I believe Pam & Tommy is about to shake things up like never before. From the hard-hitting topics to its explicit content, the biographical drama is going to rock the internet beginning on Feb. 2. Are you ready?
Is Hulu’s Pam & Tommy based on a true story?
For anyone wondering, yes, Pam & Tommy is based on a true story. It is a biographical drama miniseries based on public reports, testimonies, and other documentation. For those too young to remember, Pamela Anderson is a model and actress who was married to Tommy Lee, an American musician and member of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Pam & Tommy will follow their story, focusing on the release of their unauthorized sex tape in 1995, a private tape that was recorded during their honeymoon and locked up in a safe, never intended for another set of eyes.
Unfortunately, Tommy (Sebastian Stan) angered the wrong person, handyman Rand (Seth Rogen), who returned to Pam (Lily James) and Tommy’s home one night and stole a safe from the home’s garage. Rand believed he would find money, jewelry, and guns. But he never imagined a tape would be in the safe, too!
The series also stars Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, Pepi Sonuga, Andrew Dice Clay, Mike Seely, and others.
Pam & Tommy episodes
The miniseries will include a total of eight episodes. The first three episodes drop on Hulu on Feb. 2. Then, one episode will be released each Wednesday until the finale on March 9. Because this is a miniseries, there is no second season planned.
