From the moment the SEAL Team season 5 finale dropped on Jan. 23, fans of the beloved military drama have been anxiously waiting to know whether SEAL Team season 6 is a go — and for good reason.

Without giving too much away, let’s just say that the SEAL Team season 5 finale left viewers with many questions about the future of Bravo team after the team found themselves in a less than stellar situation as the season came to a close.

After the explosive finale, it seemed like a safe bet to assume that a sixth season was planned. However, fans have been on high alert ever since speculation began growing over whether the episode was the show’s swan song. Luckily, fans no longer have to speculate over the future of SEAL Team as Paramount+ has officially confirmed its plans for the former CBS military drama and we have a feeling fans are going to be quite happy with the

Is SEAL Team canceled?

SEAL Team will live to fight another day as the beloved military drama has not been canceled and will be returning for a sixth season on Paramount+!

During the streaming service’s 2022 TCA presentation, Paramount+ announced it had renewed SEAL Team for a sixth season following a successful move from CBS to its new home as a Paramount+ original in season 5.

"“We are very excited to welcome SEAL Team back for another season on Paramount+,” said Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. “The show’s loyal fanbase followed the series to its new exclusive home, and it has proven to be a high-performing title for the service, consistently in the top 10 most-watched original series. We can’t wait for the fans to see what our brilliant creative team has in store for Team Bravo next season!”"

Will SEAL Team season 6 be the show’s last?

When announcing the renewal of SEAL Team for a sixth season, Paramount+ did not bill the series renewal as a final season order. As such, it has not yet been confirmed whether the show’s upcoming sixth season will be its last; however, the odds of the show continuing beyond season 6 are looking good.

As Paramount+ confirmed when renewing the series during its 2022 TCA presentation, SEAL Team has been a high-performing title for the streaming service since its move from CBS with the series routinely ranking within the Top 10 most-watched original streaming series during its run. Should those numbers hold in season 6, it seems likely Paramount+ would happily keep the series going with additional seasons.
