The Game season 2 ordered at Paramount+ (TCA 2022 updates)

The Game season 2 is officially coming to Paramount+!

During its 2022 TCA presentation, Parmount+ confirmed The Game will return for a second season following a breakout debut season which reunited viewers with beloved characters from the original series returning alongside a batch of exciting new characters!

"“With ample humor and heart, Devon Greggory reimagined an iconic series, brought back beloved legacy characters and introduced new fan favorites,” said Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. “As Tasha Mack says, ‘game recognizes game,’ and audiences continue to discover the series on Paramount+. We look forward to what Devon and his team have in store for us next season on and off the field.”"

Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Adriyan Rae, Vaughn Hebron, Analisa Velez, and Toby Sandeman are all expected to return for the show’s second season with additional casting expected to arrive closer to the season’s release. Although not yet confirmed, it’s also expected the show’s second season will consist of at least 10 episodes, similar to the first season of the much-talked-about revival.

News of the renewal comes less than a month after the show’s season 1 finale aired in early January, in an episode that saw the Las Vegas Fightin’ Fury approaching their inaugural game of the season and ended with quite the explosive moment.

The Game season 2 release rumors

Currently, Paramount+ has not yet revealed an official release date for The Game season 2, but it is expected that season 2 will be making its way to Paramount+ sometime this year.

Should Paramount+ stick to the same release timeline it used with season 1, it seems safe to assume the earliest we’ll see season 2 debut on Paramount+ would be during the final quarter of 2022. Given season 1 kicked off in November, it’s possible we could see season 2 debut sometime during November 2022 or perhaps earlier in the fall depending on how quickly Paramount+ is able to turn around the new season.
