911 Season 5 will not return with new episodes in February 2022

We are certainly ready for new episodes of 911 Season 5. There is still a delay for those episodes. They’re not coming in February 2022.

We would love for nothing more than our favorite LAFD team return to our screens. That isn’t happening any time this month. We’ve double-checked the list of returning shows throughout this month and 911 wasn’t on the list.

Of course, we didn’t expect for that to be the case. It’s been clear since the show went on its winter break in December that the series wouldn’t return for a while. We even have a return date for it, and there’s great news for fans of both 911 and 911 Lone Star.

911 Season 5 return date on FOX

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We know that 911 Season 5 is going to bring new episodes very soon. Back in December, we learned it would arrive in March 2022. Now we have an exact date.

911 Season 5, Episode 11 will air on Monday, March 21. It will take over the 8/7c timeslot that it had in the fall.

What does that mean about 911 Lone Star? This is where the great news comes in. The Texas-based spin-off will move to the 9/8c timeslot. We’ll get back-to-back episodes of the shows starting from March 21.

According to Variety, we will also get some crossover action between the two shows. This isn’t going to be in the form of a giant crossover event like we had with the Texas wildfire storyline. The pandemic in the real world continues to cause a problem for filming. However, there will be some moments that count as a crossover. We’ll take what we can get right now!

We’ll also get some time devoted to Maddie and Chimney. The two have been missing for much of Season 5 so far, which was a way to handle Jennifer Love Hewitt’s real maternity leave needs. It’s time to find out what’s going on with Maddie’s postnatal depression and whether Chimney can convince her to return.
