Was Mary J. Blige on The Masked Singer?

On Sunday, Feb. 13, Mary J. Blige joined some of the biggest names in music for what has been called the greatest Super Bowl Halftime Shows of all time.

Appearing alongside the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and 50 Cent, Blige rocked out to two of her biggest hits with a performance of “Family Affair” and “No More Drama.” Not only did her performance earn rave reviews, but Blige has also become one of the most meme’d moments of the game for her post-performance fall.

Her performance as part of the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show has also led to an unexpected uptick in searches about the singer. One particular question that fans have become quite invested in following her appearance at the big game is whether Blige has ever appeared on FOX’s The Masked Singer. 

Has Mary J. Blige been on The Masked Singer?

Although Mary J. Blige has tackled a number of projects over the years including a role in NBC’s The Wiz Live! production, the Grammy winner has never appeared on FOX’s The Masked Singer — well, at least not yet.

While Blige’s name has come up on countless occasions throughout the first six seasons of The Masked Singer, Blige has never appeared as a contestant on the show. With a seventh season coming soon, it’s possible this could change as we won’t learn the identities of the season 7 cast until the season begins and contestants begin getting unmasked.

Most recently, panelist Nicole Scherzinger was convinced Blige was under the mask of season 6 contestant The Skunk. It was later revealed that The Skunk was actually singer Faith Evans.
