Is Zendaya leaving Euphoria? (Will Rue be in Euphoria season 3?)

Euphoria ratings are at an all-time high, and HBO has already renewed the series for a third season, but will Zendaya be involved? Why are fans speculating that Zendaya will be leaving Euphoria?

A recent report from TV Line suggests that the end of the HBO hit-series Euphoria could be close. The source even asks if season 3 is the final season. Now, with such high viewer ratings week after week (even when during last week’s Super Bowl event), I don’t see Euphoria ending soon. There’s already a third season order, and if fans like what they see, a fourth season order is in the future.

However, what could happen is Zendaya leaving the series. As the source notes, Zendaya’s career has skyrocketed. She is unbelievably talented and I see a lot of big films in her near future. And with that, come scheduling conflicts. Not to mention, the cast in general is getting a little old to be playing teenagers.

Is Zendaya leaving Euphoria?

In an interview with TV Line, HBO’s Chief Content Officer, Casey Bloys, was asked if season 3 is the last one. Bloys replied that he will let Sam Levinson (series creator, exec producer) and Zendaya take care of that, saying “I’m very excited about what they’ve got planned [for season 3]. So I will leave that to them.”

While this isn’t a very clear answer, at all, I’m sure fans would agree that Euphoria would not be the same without Zendaya, BUT it could still work without her. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t want it with out Zendaya, but the show could still go on. For how long? Not very, that’s for sure.

At the time of this writing, there are only two episodes left! The season 2 finale will be very telling as we will know in which direction Euphoria season 3 is headed. As for Zendaya’s involvement in season 3, that also remains to be seen.
