Euphoria season 2 episode 7 recap: What happened to Fezco? (and more questions)

Euphoria season 2 episode 7, titled “The Theater and It’s Double,” is a real treat. While it does leave us feeling worried about Fezco, Lexi pulled off one amazing play in “Our Life.” If you missed tonight’s episode, please note that spoilers are ahead so you may want to stream the episode on HBO Max before reading ahead.

What happens in Euphoria season 2 episode 7?
The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here! Lexi’s play has been teased since the start of the season and our girl Lexi did not disappoint! They play features special moments between Lexi and the people closest to her. And, of course, who will ever be able to forget that hilarious segment Lexi dedicated to Nate? Now, instead of a play-by-play recap, we’re going to highlight the top three questions we have after watching Euphoria season 2 episode 7.
Euphoria season 2 episode 7: Will Rue and Jules get back together?
Rue and Jules are in the bathroom and it’s very awkward. In episode 6, Rue makes it clear that she’s still very mad at Jules and Elliot. But not all hope is lost! As Rue is leaving the bathroom, she quickly looks in Jules direction and gives her a “sup?” before drying her hands and leaving. Jules is too shocked to respond, but appears to be happily surprised. Jules was not expecting for Rue to ever talk to her again. Now that Rue is sober, she could be coming around to the idea of talking to Jules again. Would you like to see them back together? Let’s not be so quick to forget that Jules cheated on Rue with Elliot, so she has some apologizing to do.
Nate breaks up with Cassie in Euphoria season 2 episode 7
Cassie embarrassed women all over the world in this episode. Yikes, the things she said! And for what? For what, Cassie? Humiliated over that “I Need a Hero” segment in Lexi’s play, Nate storms off and tells Cassie to pack up her bags (he used another word) and leave his house. Cassie is so upset she’s fuming. The episode closes with her staring at the stage. Honestly though, I don’t see Cassie as a threat. I’m just glad she is getting what she deserves. But I do wonder what she thinks of doing next. Same about Nate.
What happens to Fezco in season 2 episode 7?
Sadly, Fezco did not make it to Lexi’s play. This is heartbreaking because we know how much effort Fezco truly put into going. He was dressed to impress and even bought Lexi flowers! And Lexi was super excited about him going to see her work. But, he never made it to the play. Lexi kept looks for Fezo in the reserved seat she saved for him, but it’s empty each time. I’m glad this didn’t stop her from directing the play, but i know she’s still sad about it. As for audiences, we’re worried!
We know that Custer stopped by with plans of getting Fezco to talk about Mouse. Faye is aware of these plans and appears nervous when Custer arrives. We don’t get to see what happens, but Ashtray is suspicious. Who will Faye be loyal to, Custer or Fezco? We won’t know until next week!
