Who killed Xavier? After seven episodes, your guess is as good as mine, to be honest! Let’s see where our ranking of suspects stands after watching The Afterparty episode 7. Maybe we can figure it together.

The Afterparty is very cleverly written! The drama, the comedy and wow the mystery — the mystery! Now, I consider myself pretty good when it comes to solving mysteries (I just watch too many movies and too much TV), so it’s frustrating not knowing who Xavier’s killer is! The Apple TV+ series has given us seven great episodes and so many clues, but I’m stumped.

Before you read on, please note this is your one and only spoiler warning! If you are not caught up on all the episodes, go stream them on Apple TV+ before reading ahead.

The Afterparty episode 7: Who killed Xavier?

Aniq (Sam Richardson)

Okay, so Aniq is still at the top of my list, sadly. I love the guy, but, in my opinion, he has the biggest motive. In episode 5, we learned Aniq’s motive for wanting Xavier dead. He lost the girl and his scholarship because of Xavier. I do love Aniq, though, so let’s hope it’s not him. But you can’t trust anyone.

Zoe (Zoe Chao)

I have never bought into Zoe’s innocent girl act. She gives me an unpleasant vibe. Zoe doesn’t seem to have a motive, though, but she does have all of those strange personalities.

Yasper (Ben Schwartz)

Guys, I LOVE Yasper! Maybe it’s because I enjoy Ben Schwartz so much, but he’s great! Does he have a motive? Yes, jealousy. He also has a lot of regrets for breaking up the band, so it definitely could’ve been him, but I can’t say for sure.

Chelsea (Ilana Glazer)

Chelsea has a motive, but she seems so genuine to me! I really believe she changed her mind about hurting Xavier. What do you think about Chelsea?

Brett (Ike Barinholtz)

My opinions about Brett are they same, he was a big bully back in the day, and he still has anger issues, but I don’t think he killed Xavier. And with his daughter in tow? I just don’t see it.

Jennifer (Tiya Sircar)

I don’t know what to think about Jennifer. She’s not a nice person, but how bad is she? And what’s her motive? She’s also pregnant (unless she’s lying about being pregnant).

Walt (Jamie Demetriou)

The series really seems to be pushing Walt in our faces, so I’m thinking this choice is too obvious.

Indigo (Genevieve Angelson)

Honestly, I think Indigo is harmless! She’s in everyone’s business, and pops up here and there, but there’s no motive (that we know of).

We have one more episode to go! Any finale guesses? Who are your two top suspects?
