The end of a season always leaves fans wondering who will return to the series when the new season premires, so with the end of Euphoria season 2, fans want to know which stars will be back for another emotional round. One character we are particularly worried about (well, besides Fezco) is Alexa Demie, who portrays Maddy Perez. Will we see Alexa Demie in Euphoria season 3?

This goes without saying, but there are significant spoilers ahead if you have not watched the Euphoria season 2 finale or are just not caught up on all the episodes.

There is no question that we are all worried about Fezco. He was shot in the crossfire, but not fatally, so I think he’ll be fine. However, I do believe he’ll be doing some jail time. Not for murder (no sense in taking the blame with Ash dead) but other charges. We can’t have Euphoria season 3 without Angus Cloud. And if you’re wondering why we are questioning Alexa Demie’s season 3 involvement, here’s why.

Will Maddy Perez be in Euphoria season 3?

In Euphoria season 2 episode 7, Maddy is watching Theo play baseball along with his mom Samantha. Maddy is telling Samantha how she doesn’t want to break Theo’s heart by saying goodbye to him. Samantha asks Maddy if she would rather stay in East Highland for the rest of her life, instead. Maddy doesn’t hesitate to respond, “f*ck no.” So a goodbye to little Theo it is! But what does this mean? Were we so into Lexi’s play that we completely blanked on how this could very well be Alexa Demie’s final season?

Not so fast! Maddy is an integral part of the HBO hit series. I truly don’t see the show working without her. What Maddy’s goodbye to Theo could mean is that Maddy is going to college and it may not be one that is nearby. If I were Maddy, after all those traumatic events, I would want to leave town, too! But we still don’t know what this will mean for the show in general. Will we be following separate settings? Are the girls not going to be together anymore? We need answers.
