Jill and Derick Dillard reveal COVID-19 diagnosis

Jill and Derick Dillard are currently down sick withhttps://hiddenremote.com/reality-tv/ COVID-19. Jill revealed the news via an Instagram post that she shared on Thursday morning. According to the former reality star, this is the first time that COVID has hit their family of four. They both tested positive as she shared proof by posting a photo of the home tests that were taken.

Another pic was shared of Jill and Derick at home looking a bit under the weather. She was holding onto a cup of warm liquid, while her husband held up a box of tissues. Both of them appeared a little pale in the photo, although that could have just been the lighting.

Jill is pregnant with her third child, due in July. The couple made their exciting announcement on February 27 after suffering a devastating miscarriage last year. Now, just two weeks after the pregnancy news, they are both down with the virus. No word yet on whether their two boys, Israel and Samuel, have it.

It sounds like Jill and Derick are doing their best to recover from being sick. The expectant mom said in the comment section that she has been relying on hot lemon honey water and pregnancy tea with ginger as her go-to fluids. She asked for any tips that her fans may have to beat it and also for prayers for a speedy recovery.

Derick Dillard’s birthday

Derick celebrated his 33rd birthday on March 9. Jill revealed that COVID derailed their celebration plans this year. However, they seemed to make the best of it. She revealed that they still had some fun on his special day. “With a little help from family, we were still able to celebrate Derick’s birthday at home yesterday, even though it was different than we’d originally hoped,” Jill wrote.

She didn’t elaborate on which side of the family helped with that. It stands to reason that Derick’s mom, Cathy Dillard, made sure that her son had something to help him celebrate. In fact, Jill posted another photo of Derick holding up a huge chocolate chip cookie all decorated just for him.

Did any members of the Duggar family also come out to share in the fun, despite the supposed feud between Derick and Jim Bob? Nothing has been shared as far as any birthday greetings from their camp, but then again not much has been posted at all from Jim Bob and Michelle since eldest son Josh Duggar was convicted of possessing child pornography in December.
