A24 and horror fans alike are excited about the upcoming slasher, X. The movie directed by Ti West, stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Scott Mescudi, and Brittany Snow. Now, we know A24 has a reputation of producing some brilliant and unique horror movies, but the title of this one, X, doesn’t give too much away. What is A24’s X movie about? Here’s what we know!

A24’s X movie synopsis

According to A24, the movie will take place in Texas, so you already know we are in for some Texas Chainsaw Massacre-slasher vibes, just hopefully nothing like the Netflix revival of the franchise because that was a major fail. A film crew will be arriving at this farmhouse with the intend on filming adult movies. Their hosts, and owners of this farmhouse, are an elderly couple who live just across the fields, within eyeshot. They are warned not to do anything scandalous, but, as one of the characters says, “it’s better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.”

Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out well with the elderly couple, who quickly take an interest in the young film crew. And, at night, their interests turn violent.

Can you stream A24’s X movie?

Most movies these days have either a streaming release or are quickly available on streaming shortly after being in theaters. But X won’t be one of these movies. X is going to have a theater-exclusive release on March 18. It is possible, though, that the movie will be available to stream not too long after its release.
