It’s an exciting episode for Mateo. Well, it should be. He’s supposed to have the chance to work through the ranks, but it’s not going to be at the 126. It’s the boss he had while the 126 was disbanded at the start of the season. This comes with a complication, though, because his former boss could be suffering from dementia.
Meanwhile, the 126 is worried about one of their own. After the events of the previous episode, Paul is struggling mentally. He doesn’t know what to do if he can’t be a firefighter. That’s all he wants, but his heart problems are making that impossible.
