It’s not hard to sell me on a movie anymore when it stars Channing Tatum, but throw in Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph and you can count me in. So today, I share my review of The Lost City.

The Lost City follows a romance novelist Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), who seems like she is on her last leg. Her husband passed away, she lost interest in creating anything new, and her assistant (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) has put her on another book tour with her cover model (Channing Tatum). Things go about as expected on the book tour’s opening night, and Loretta has had enough until a billionaire named Farfax (Daniel Radcliffe) and his henchmen kidnap her. The event sparks Alan to attempt to save the day and everyone else to help her.

The Lost City is a fun ride from start to finish

The script is impressively solid and tight all the way around. One of my only issues with it and the film was that it got a tad too serious for my liking, which tends to happen in these types of films, but other than that, you will be in tears laughing throughout the whole movie.

The whole cast does a great job, including seeing Sandra Bullock back in a role we all love to see her in. Bullock is an incredible actress and she can play anyone well, but the chemistry between her and Tatum is so electric and filled with sexual tension that it brought some great scenes from the actress. In addition, Daniel Radcliffe stands out as a villain and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (who needs to be in more movies) is incredible as Bullock’s assistant.

Speaking of Tatum, I have said repeatedly that Channing Tatum is one of the funniest working comedic actors in Hollywood. It doesn’t matter the role, whether it’s a goofy muscle kid (

) to his role in

Dog earlier this year

to this movie as a cover model turned hero, the comedic timing from this man is unmatched. Tatum has found his nitch and is knocking it out of the ballpark.

Overall, The Lost City is a fun ride from start to finish. I loved the cast, comedy, and action. I highly recommend checking it out in theaters on Friday.

The Lost City hits theaters on March 25, 2022.
