In addition to being the lead in the series, Lizzo also serves as one of the executive producers. This is one show I’m definitely excited about! The movie and television industry has been working to make changes and show more representation. This is one step in that direction.

Not only are they showcasing women of color of all shades, but we’re also going to see women of different body types shine who haven’t been portrayed positively in the media. Lizzo has never been shy about talking about body image, so it’s surprising that she’s partnered with the streaming service to bring this show to viewers. And it’s so great that she is!

Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls focuses on the singer’s hunt for confident, talented women to join her as back up dancers on her 2022 world tour. The series starts with the 10 dancers moving into the Big Grrrls House to prove they have what it takes in the competition series.

While there’s bound to be some tension with that many people living under the same roof, I do hope that’s not what the show will focus on. Many reality TV series have to show and play up the drama. With a show that has such an important message, I really hope that won’t be the case.

According to Amazon Adviser, since it’s a global original the release time is midnight GMT on March 25.
