Poor Shaun and Lea. They’re going through a dry spell. Apparently, nine days is a problem, and I love that they’re trying to take action now. I love that Shaun is trying to take action now, and he’s turning to Dr. Glassman for help with that.

There are sure to be some humorous moments in this storyline. We all know what it’s like for any couple to find a rhythm again, and for them to try to spice things up.

All the while, Shaun will deal with a patient who is a 45-year-old virgin. She has a big life decision to make, which I’m sure is going to connect to Shaun’s story in some way.

Lim and Park treat a patient with a secret in The Good Doctor Season 5, Episode 12

Meanwhile, Lim, Park, and Wolke have a patient who has Valley fever. This is a fungal infection caused by Coccidioides, and it is common in the southwestern U.S., Mexico, and Central and South America.

It turns out the patient has a secret that she’s been keeping from her fiance. Is this connected to how she ended up with the fungal infection? It certainly seems plausible, and there’s a chance that it is connected to something sexual in nature.

This isn’t a disease that is passed via humans, though. It’s contracted by breathing in the fungus. This plot thickens.
