How did the show got that code name? Could it have something to do with ruby slippers and “there’s no place like home?” After all, June has fought for her life with Luke for a while, and she’s also fighting to get Hannah back, who is her home. Home isn’t always a physical place.
It’s to do with the way the handmaids walk together. Their red cloaks give a look of a ruby road.
Filming for the season started back in February 2022. It is ongoing, with a recent filming notification for a private residence in Cambridge, ON. It’s not entirely clear how long filming will go on for. This is a show that likes to keep a lot under wraps to prevent spoilers.
