The official logline according to Deadline:

"…as monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever."

Does The Witcher season 3 have a release date?

No, a release date hasn’t been announced. However, we’re not likely to see the third season this year. Filming has just begun on season 3 and post-production on the new season will be anywhere between six to eight months, if not longer. Not to mention, The Witcher has thus far been an end of the year release for Netflix. As such, we could be waiting until December 2023 to be returned to this universe.

Is The Witcher season 3 the last season of the series?

Season 3 isn’t being billed as the final season for The Witcher. The show is widely popular on Netflix and is based on a book series that has plenty of material left to mine. The Witcher universe, however, is expanding on the streamer. The Witcher: Blood Origin is expected to release later this year and there’s another anime movie plus a children’s show in the works.
