Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to a Marvel event that will be talked about for ages, much like Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to be. It’s a movie that is full of surprises and fans are ready to expect the unexpected. The trailer already promises many fun appearances and even more are rumored. Our new MCU favorite is Moon Knightwhich begs the question — will Moon Knight appear in Doctor Strange 2?

Tickets for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are already on sale, and going fast! Fans want to avoid spoilers at all costs and trying to see the movie as early as possible. We all want to be surprised by any cameos we may see, including Moon Knight (aka Marc/Steven).

Moon Knight is streaming on Disney+, there are two episodes out so far, but it is an instant favorite. Since we don’t know what, or who, to expect, here’s what we think about a Moon Knight cameo in Doctor Strange 2.

Will Oscar Isaac return as Moon Knight in Doctor Strange 2?

As much as we would love an appearance, or even some sort of reference, to Moon Knight in Doctor Strange 2, it’s highly unlikely that will happen. According to Variety, Oscar Isaac shared that he only signed up for one season of Moon Knight. Of course, he may return as the character (if he decides) if there is a renewal, but, as the source shares, “Isaac is not contractually obligated to remain in the MCU after Moon Knight ends its six-episode run.”

Now, I know it’s possible that secret filming took place before the launch of Moon Knight on Disney+, but I doubt it. To be honest, as awesome as this would be, the new MCU character joining Doctor Strange 2 just does not fit the story. Not only is there already so much going on in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but it just wouldn’t make sense — but hey, stranger things have happened!

Doctor Strange 2 is in theaters May 6.
