This week, Hidden Remote is flashing back to 2007 to highlight some of the best movies, shows, and more that have been released since then to celebrate FanSided‘s 15-year anniversary! Here we take a look at 15 Disney movies who share the same milestone.

Get ready for a real walk down memory lane. This list is going to make you feel nostalgic and remind you of films you may have forgotten about. There’s lots of sequels as well. The good news is that almost all of the films on our list are currently streaming on Disney+. The one exception is Bridge to Terabithia. So if you’re missing one, or all of them, you can relive those memories now.

Disney films are well known for teaching a lesson, creating memories, and telling a great story, so let’s jump in to our round-up of 15 Disney movies turning 15 this year!

15 Disney movies turning 15 in 2022

Cinderella III

We’re kicking off our list with the very first Disney princess, Cinderella! The third movie in the trilogy, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, officially turned 15 in February of this year. Cinderella and her prince are also celebrating a special day in the film.

On their first anniversary, Lady Tremaine gets her hands on the Fairy Godmother’s wand. She uses its power to reverse time and makes the glass slipper fit Anastasia instead. The prince doesn’t have any memory of his princess and thinks the “perfect girl” is her stepsister.

The story for this movie was much more interesting than the second sequel. Even as an adult, I enjoy watching it. The Stepmother still gives me the creeps!

Meet the Robinsons

Speaking of time-travel, Meet the Robinsons takes us to the future. The film follows 12-year-old orphan and inventor, Lewis, who is desperate to be adopted. Wilbur Robinson, a young time-traveler, shows up and whisks Lewis away in his time machine. In usual Disney-movie fashion, the film tugs at your heartstrings while telling a great story. What’s nice is that there’s jokes for adults to enjoy as well.

Ratatouille

Patton Oswalt lends his voice to portray Remy, a rat who dreams of becoming a great chef despite it being a rodent-phobic profession. He moves to the enchanting city of Paris to follow his dream. He gets help from garbage boy Linguini and eventually gets to prove his culinary skills to a food critic.

No matter how many times you watch this movie, you’re going to enjoy it every time! Following your dreams no matter what (or how small), is such an important message. If you put your mind to it, you can do it.

The Pixar Story

The Pixar Story isn’t set in a fictional world. It’s actually a documentary film. We get a behind-the-scenes look at the success of Pixar which has produced some of my favorite Disney movies. I’m sure lots of you are in the same boat! Though the studio has grown considerably since 2007, it’s still interesting to watch. I’m a bit of a nerd at heart, so I love taking in tidbits and learning how companies like this reach success.

The documentary tells the story of the pioneering computer animation studio and features Pixar bosses as well as actors who have lent their voices to its films including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Billy Crystal.

Bridge to Terabithia

If there’s one film on this list that honestly wasn’t at the forefront of my mind, it’s Bridge to Terabithia. But that’s such a shame because it was actually one of my favorites growing up. Before they became the known actors they are today, the film had a great cast. You can watch a young AnnaSophia Robb, Josh Hutcherson, and Bailee Madison in the movie. New Girl‘s Zooey Deschanel also stars.

Bridge to Terabithia focuses on 11-year-old Jesse. His life changes when he befriends Leslie, the class outsider. The two kids create an imaginary world called Terabithia, which is inhabited by magical creatures. Terabithia a way for them to cope with difficulties in their realities. It’s a wonderful story with child actors at the time who we all now recognize!

Though it’s a Walt Disney Pictures film, this is the one movie on our list that is not streaming on Disney Plus. It’s available to rent for $3.99 on Sling.
