The Cleaning Lady has been renewed for season 2

The Cleaning Lady, FOX’s latest crime-drama, has been renewed by the network for a second season! This is very exciting news as I was beginning to worry that the criminally underrated series would be ignored come renewal season. I’m glad to report that was not the case and we can all expect more episodes.

Even though it deserves a lot more attention, The Cleaning Lady was able to successfully find a loyal audience and it is one of the Top 5 new broadcast dramas of the 2021-2022 season, FOX shares. Those who miss episodes when they air on the FOX network can find the series streaming on Hulu, where it ranks as Hulu’s most-streamed FOX debut. The press release also shares that the premiere episode reached 11.9 million. Now that’s impressive!

The FOX series follows Thony De La Rosa (Elodie Yung), an independent and clever woman who was a doctor back in the Philippines. In order to get her ill son, Luca, better healthcare, Thony moved to the United States and resides illegally as a cleaning lady. During a late-night shift, Thony witnesses a murder and is almost killed. Gang leader Arman Morales (Adan Canto) sees the potential in having a professional cleaning lady to help hide evidence and hires her. Thony has no choice in the matter, not if she wants to live. Thony and Arman quickly form a friendship, and Thony begins to settle into this new lifestyle.

The Cleaning Lady season 2 release date predictions

The first season of The Cleaning Lady consists of 10 episodes, all now available to stream on Hulu. When will season 2 premiere? We’re not sure, no date as been announced yet as it’s too early. However, it’s easy to predict (or try to)!

Typically, seasons are one year apart, so if season 1 premiered in January 2022, I’d say season 2 will be here early 2023, perhaps even January, as well. We will be sure to update this post as soon as we learn more!
