Rob Lowe has been in the news for an upcoming project. He and his son are teaming up to bring a comedy to Netflix. The comedy sounds like a lot of fun and is inspired by the Lowes’ relationship on social media where the son loves to troll his father.
According to TVLine, Lowe and his son John Owen will star in Unstable. The series will follow an introverted and socially challenged son who ends up working for his wildly eccentric and successful father and owner of a cutting-edge biotech research company. The father wants to save his son from disaster, although it’s not clear what that disaster is.
Of course, this has led to a lot of fear among the 911 Lone Star fanbase. Is it possible for Lowe to star in two shows?

We have some good news. At least, good news for now. There is no sign that Rob Lowe is leaving 911 Lone Star. That wasn’t even mentioned in the article announcing the new series. In fact, the article points out that Lowe will “moonlight,” which suggests that he isn’t planning on leaving his role as Owen Strand just yet.
Rob’s son, John Owen Lowe, is a story editor for the series. There are no signs of him leaving that either. With both of them working on both projects, it’s going to be a little easier to make schedules work.
We have seen Rob work on other projects as well as the first responder drama. He hosts Mental Samurai on FOX, so there’s no reason to think that he can’t make another project work.
We are still waiting for a renewal for the drama right now. FOX has been extremely quiet, but we’re fully expecting 911 Lone Star Season 4 to happen.
