Fans in Australia, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico were in for a very tall treat to celebrate new Paramount+ series, Halo. The streaming service partnered up with Hidden Remote’s parent company Minute Media, Wavemaker, and Kaleida to bring to life the world’s tallest hologram to celebrate the success of the hit series.

Halo became the most-watched series premiere of all time for Paramount+ in the U.S. and internationally. It is based on the iconic Xbox franchise. The story dramatizes an epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. The series weaves deep personal stories with action, adventure, and an imagined vision of the future.

Halo has delivered a tremendous response among fans around the world as Paramount+’s
most-watched series premiere of all-time globally,” said Marco Nobili, senior vice president of streaming marketing, data and analytics at Paramount. “By partnering with Minute Media, Wavemaker and Kaleida, we are proud to continue the momentum around the series by bringing Halo to life for fans in Australia, Latin America, and Canada in an epic and innovative way that only Paramount+ could achieve.”

The series stars Pablo Schreiber as the Master Chief: Spartan-117. Natascha McElhone plays Dr. Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted, and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers. Jen Taylor portrays Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race.

About the Halo hologram

Dubbed the “HALOgram,” the 4×60 animation brought the Master Chief to Earth to assess the local surroundings. The 3D hologram stood tall in iconic locations in Sydney, Toronto, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City on April 17. These are the tallest holograms ever built, equivalent in height to a six-story building. Each installment weighed over 24 tons.

“We are always looking to push boundaries with our partners and the Halogram was a perfect opportunity to realize that vision,” said Ed Bovingdon, Entertainment Partnerships at Minute Media. “Creating such an epic experiential activation on a global scale allowed us to leverage our credentials in technology and content in new ways and celebrate the success of the Halo series in style.”

The successful Paramount+ series first premiered on March 24, and the first season will have a total of nine episodes. Halo has already been renewed for a second season.

You can now stream the first four episodes of Halo on Paramount+. New episodes are released weekly on Thursdays.
