So to say that the news of Melissa McBride, who plays Carol in the AMC series, has exit the spinoff she was supposed to star in alongside Norman Reedus.

According to reports, it’s McBride who exited the project, but TVLine shares a particular line that raised some questions, and that’s “we’re told the decision to jettison Carol was purely a creative one.” That line, to many, sounds like the creators are the people who decided not to include McBride’s character in the series, which fans of McBride are not cool with.

However, AMC’s statement reads that “unfortunately, she [McBride] is no longer able to participate in the previously announced spinoff focused on the Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier characters,” so what is the truth?
