When is Schitt’s Creek leaving Netflix in 2022?

Bad news Netflix subscribers. The highly popular comedy Schitt’s Creek will be moving streaming homes in just a few months.

The Canadian comedy was created by father and son team Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, who also star as father and son on the series. For six seasons the Rose family and their small town community have made us laugh, fall in love with the characters as much as they ended up falling in love with Schitt’s Creek, and everything else in between.

The show centers around wealthy video store magnate Johnny Rose, his former soap-opera star wife Moira, and their two children Alexis and David. When the family suddenly find themselves broke, they have no choice but to move to Schitt’s Creek – a small town Johnny once bought as a joke. Their pampered lives are gone and now members of the Rose family have to find jobs and learn what it actually means to be a family.

And just like how the Rose’s had to make a move, now the series has found a home on a different streaming service.

When is Schitt’s Creek leaving Netflix in 2022?

Schitt’s Creek will be moving to Hulu beginning Oct. 3, TVLine reports. While Netflix is still a dominating giant in the streaming world, its competitors are proving to be just as successful. The streaming service has lost other major comedies in the last couple of years like Friends, The Office, and Seinfeld.

With Netflix seeing a decline of their subscription numbers due to multiple reasons, losing major shows that draw people in won’t be helping its situation. I know this news may be disappointing to some of you. There’s too many streaming services to pay for. It’s hard to keep up!

But if you’re a big Schitt’s Creek fan and want to continue watching your beloved show, or you’ve been meaning to stream and haven’t gotten a chance yet, you still have a few months to do so on Netflix. Otherwise, catch it on Hulu!
