NCIS season 19 episode 19: Who plays Teagan?
NCIS season 19 episode 19 had a very special guest star in the form of actor Sean Murray’s daughter, Cay Ryan Murphy. In the episode, the team investigated multiple break-ins around the Norfolk base. They all seemed to center around a girl named Teagan and McGee genuinely saw himself in her.
After looking into a series of break-ins, which appeared to revolve around teens partying in empty homes, the team discovers a security breach involving the hacking of QR codes that allowed access to the victims’ homes.
Teagan is a young girl whose mom is currently stationed overseas. At first, they believe their prime suspect is her boyfriend, but she balks.
Instead, she tells them that her boyfriend Jayden is someone who has always been there for her. McGee understands Teagan’s feelings about not being able to stay in one place for long being an army brat.

Unfortunately, things get tougher when another break-in eventually leads to the death of a man named Lieutenant Carl Tang. He had just returned home and died after a bomb exploded. While McGee believes Teagan is not involved, it looks like someone knew the code she used for the hacking and killed Tang.
After talking to Teagan’s mom, they discover that Teagan actually never met Jayden. It doesn’t take long for them to realize he doesn’t even exist. Instead, he’s an older man who lives in Reston, based on evidence Kasie discovers.
It begins to look like Teagan did at least have the materials available to make the bomb, but the team believes now that “Jayden” was using her. After she escapes her bedroom to avoid McGee, the team is able to track her down.
Teagan is not ready to face the fact that the one person she thinks understood her is not real. McGee tells her that he can see who she is and that he’s trying to look out for her. He eventually convinces her to come with the team and they are able to locate “Jayden.”
Turns out, the man is actually Jason Samuels, who was involved in a case that Tang was a witness to. He used Teagan in order to gain access to the base and kill him. This was a really good episode that gave us a chance to see McGee learn some things when it came to being a parent himself.
McGee had been reluctant about his daughter wearing the same dress everyday to Kindergarten. But eventually, he comes to realize that he needs to let her have a voice, even if she is only four. We love to see him growing, even after all these years.
Overall, this was a great episode and we hope to eventually see McGee’s twins on screen. Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on NCIS season 19 episode 19.
