Candy on Hulu takes place in Texas, but was it really filmed there? If you’re from the area, do you recognize any of the locations featured so far? Here’s where Candy on Hulu was filmed.

Hulu’s latest crime-drama follows to true story of Candy Montgomery, a housewife who appeared to have it all when she suddenly murders her best friend, Betty Gore, unprovoked. And quite brutally, too, I may add. Candy will feature Candy’s story before and after the murder.

This murder took place in Wylie, Texas, an area I’m very familiar with, so I paid close attention. It’s no secret that, no matter where a series is set, the filming location is almost always either Georgia, New York, or somewhere in Canada. These are the top filming locations. But did Candy on Hulu really bring its cast and crew to Texas?

Where was Candy on Texas filmed?

Yes, but only a few scenes. Candy was not entirely filmed in Texas. According to the show’s Wikipedia page, “principal photography” took place in Decatur, Georgia. The IMDb does share that some scenes were filmed in Texas to give the series some authenticity.

I do wish the entire series had been filmed here in Texas, but I’m happy with what we can get! Keep watching the controversial series, and let me know if you spot any of the locations!

Candy on Hulu follows a different format. Instead of dropping all episodes in one night or giving us one episode each week, Candy is a 5-day even. The miniseries consists of five episodes, the first episode is streaming now, and one will drop every day this week. Here’s a better look at the release schedule so you have all the details.

  • Episode 1, “Friday the 13th,” premieres May 9
  • Episode 2, “Happy Wife, Happy Life,” premieres May 10
  • Episode 3, “Overkill,” premieres May 11
  • Episode 4, “Cover Girl,” premieres May 12
  • Episode 5, “The Fight,” premieres May 13
