Breaking Bad cast: Where are they now?
By Sandy C.
With the arrival of the final season of Better Call Saul, longtime fans can’t help but reflect on the original series, Breaking Bad, and what a huge impact the AMC hit series has had on television. Audiences are expecting cameos from Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston in Better Call Saul season 6. Until then, do you know where the cast is today? Have you kept up with the Breaking Bad cast? If not, we’ve got you covered.
Breaking Bad premiered on AMC on January 2008, airing until the finale on September 2013, consisting of five seasons. It is one of the best series from AMC and one of the greatest shows of all time, still ranking high on many lists. Did the cast go on to continue being involved in big projects? Let’s see what they’ve been up to.
Focusing on the principal cast who portrayed the center characters, here’s where the Breaking Bad is today and their latest (or upcoming) projects:
Where is the Breaking Bad cast today?
Bryan Cranston
After playing Walter White in Breaking Bad, Cranston has starred in several projects. The most noticeable films and series include Godzilla, SuperMansion, The One and Only Ivan, and he is set to appear in Better Call Saul. Additionally, the actor is set to star in Argylle and Asteroid City, both in post-production.
Aaron Paul
The role of Jesse Pinkman continues to be Paul’s most popular one, but the actor has been involved in some great projects since his time on Breaking Bad. Our favorite movies and shows include The Path, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Truth Be Told, BoJack Horseman, Adam, and in addition to a cameo on the final season of Better Call Saul, fans can also see Paul star in Westworld season 4.
Giancarlo Esposito
Esposito has been in the business for a long time, but it wasn’t until Breaking Bad that his career truly skyrocketed. The actor has scored amazing roles, and even joined one of the biggest franchises in the world, Star Wars. Our favorite movies and shows featuring Esposito, include Dear White People, Coda, The Mandalorian, The Boys, and of course, it’s great seeing him again in Better Call Saul.
Dean Norris
The Big Bang Theory and Scandal come to mind when I think of the actor, outside of Breaking Bad, of course. Norris has also appeared on Better Call Saul before, and, while not confirmed, we hope to see him again in the final season. You can also see Norris United States of Al, and in The Parenting and Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark 2, both in pre-production.
Anna Gunn
Skyler White was not a fan favorite character, which means Gunn did her job right! One can’t deny that she’s a wonderful actress. After Breaking Bad, the actress starred in Gracepoint, Shades of Blue, Prodigal Son, and Land of Dreams.
Bob Odenkirk
Needless to say, Odenkirk is a very popular name right now thanks to the success of Better Call Saul. Who would have thought that, a spin-off, no less a prequel, would become this popular? But, in addition to Better Call Saul, Odenkirk has starred in Fargo, Incredibles 2, Little Women, and Nobody.
Jonathan Banks
The character Mike, played by Jonathan Banks, unfortunately dies in the Breaking Bad series, but that’s why we love seeing more of him in Better Call Saul. You can also enjoy the actor in Community, Horrible Bosses 2, and can expect to see him in The Damaged, which is currently in pre-production.
Betsy Brandt
Our favorite aunt, Marie Schrader, portrayed by the talented Betsy Brandt, went on to star in The Michael J. Fox Show, Masters of Sex, Parenthood, Life in Pieces, Pearson, Love, Victor, and can be seen in the upcoming movie The Valet.
RJ Mitte
Mitte stole our hearts as Walter White Jr. in Breaking Bad. And, at least in my opinion, I think he deserves a cameo on Better Call Saul as well! The actor stars in Switched at Birth, Who’s Driving Doug, The Recall, and The Oak Room. Mitte also has many projects in the works, including The Unseen and Escape from Paradise. We can’t wait to see him on screen soon.
