B Positive has been a CBS fan favorite since it premiered on the network back in November 2020. Watching the series is like a warm hug, a much needed addition to television with so many dramas and thrillers out just raising our stress levels! Speaking of stress, it’s cancellation season for network TV. CBS chopped a bunch of their shows on May 12, was B Positive one of them?

The sitcom stars Thomas Middleditch, Annaleigh Ashford, and Briga Heelan. B Positive follows Drew, a therapist and divorced father who needs a kidney donor. The title of the series comes from Drew’s blood being B-positive. Unfortunately, no one in his family matches, but his luck changes when a woman from his past offers Drew one of her kidneys. The show is inspired by the true story of Marco Pennette, the series creator, who had a kidney transplant in 2013.

CBS cancels B Positive

It’s true, Deadline reports that the CBS network has canceled B Positive after two season, the last episode aired on March 10, 2022, and fans have been highly anticipating renewal news, fearing a cancellation from CBS. Well, our fears have become a reality.

On May 12, 2022, CBS joined other networks, such as the CW and NBC, in a cancellation bloodbath. Some of our favorite shows that will not be getting another season, include Dynasty and Naomi on the CW, and The Endgame on NBC. We are so sad and disappointed! Another fun sitcom CBS decided to cut, is United States of Al. Did any of your favorite shows get canceled today?

Here are some great shows that got renewals, if you want some good news, The Neighborhood, Young Sheldon, and, one of CBS’ latest sitcoms, GhostsI do highly recommend watching Ghosts if you aren’t already! Fingers crossed CBS lets fans keep this one longer than two seasons.
