ABC has a new comedy series, Not Dead Yet, that will soon air on our screens. What makes me so excited about it is the fact that it stars actress Gina Rodriguez!

The upcoming show was created by Casey Johnson and David Windsor, who also serve as executive producers alongside Wonderland Sound, Vision’s McG, Mary Viola, and Corey Marsh. Rodriguez has also taken on a role behind-the-scenes as an executive producer.

The upcoming series is based on the book “Confessions of a 40-something F**k Up” by Alexandra Potter, and is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios. Here’s all we know about the new comedy!

Not Dead Yet release date

The new show will premiere as a part of ABC’s midseason lineup. The first episode will be on our television screens on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023. The series actually debuts with a two-episode premiere starting at 8:30 p.m. ET!

Then going forward, one new episode will be broadcast on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET. Installments will also be available to stream on Hulu the following day.

The show centers around Nell Stevens (Rodriguez) who is broke, newly single, and a self-described disaster. She is working to restart the life and career she left behind 10 years ago, per the synopsis. When she lands the only job she can find, writing obituaries, she gets life advice from an unlikely source.
