And it was Thompson who won! The season’s three-hour finale certainly had a lot going on and was a true celebration. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie performed on stage. Familiar voices made an appearance as well including Sara Bareilles, Michael Bublé, Ben Platt, and more. The show also welcomed back former contestants from the 20th season to take to the stage.
