The 5 best dishes from tonight’s episode of MasterChef (June 1)

MasterChef is back with a very fun and unique season. At Hidden Remote, we have focused on eliminations and contestants, but in this post, it’s all about the food! We are only two episodes in, but the FOX cooking competition series has already featured some delicious meals, here are our top five from tonight’s episode.

MasterChef: Back to Win episode 2 saw contestants who appeared in previous seasons of the series. Some of these contestants we missed and are glad to see back, others…not so much, but I’ll let you decide which is which! What I enjoyed the most is that tonight’s episode also included contestants from MasterChef Junior. That’s right, they are all grown up! But have their skills grown with them? Let’s see if any of their dishes made the cut.

The 5 best dishes from MasterChef: Back to Win episode 2

• Fried Quail, prepared by Tommy. The seasoning was perfection and the presentation was beautiful! I wish I could have sampled it!
• Smoked Filet Mignon, prepared by Michael. I was really really craving this dish! I’m from Texas, so you already know this is a personal favorite. My mouth was watering.
• Filet Mignon Pot Stickers, prepared by Bowen. I’ve never had a dish like this before, this has to change if I want to keep calling myself a foodie.
• Rabbit & Donuts, prepared by Stephen. Okay, I didn’t know what to think when Stephen presented this dish. But as the judges described it, the Rabbit & Donut is “psychedelic”! I wish I could’ve had a bite of that.
• Sleeping Beef, prepared by Tae-Ho. It scared me, at first, I’ll admit, but hey, if the judges loved it, it’s gotta be good!
