What is the Lifetime movie Buried in Barstow about?

Buried in Barstow makes its debut this weekend on Lifetime. The film, executive produced and starring Angie Harmon (Rizzoli & Isles), centers on Hazel King.

She’s the proud owner of a BBQ diner in Barstow, CA and a single mother whose daughter Joy is the apple of her eye. Hazel also has a past she’s been keeping secret in order to shield her daughter. Secrets, however, have a way of getting out.

When Elliott, a stranger that Hazel develops a romance with, rolls into town, she’s pulled back into the life she used to live. She’d left that all behind her when she discovered she was pregnant with Joy, but there’s a situation she has to handle now that’ll require Hazel to add one more hit to her belt.

At the age of 15, after she was pulled off the streets of Las Vegas by her handler, Hazel had been trained as a hit woman. She excelled in her field and honed her abilities into becoming someone who could protect and defend those who couldn’t do so themselves. But, it was a hard life. One she never wanted Joy to ever catch a whiff of. Now, however, it seems that if Hazel’s not careful, she could be bringing trouble right to their doorstep.

The movie premieres Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. Reruns of Buried in Barstow will air Sunday, June 5 at 12:01 a.m., 4 p.m., and 10:03 p.m. ET on the channel. So, if you miss the action drama on its premiere night, there are three more opportunities to watch the film over the weekend.
