When is the movie My Policeman starring Harry Styles coming out?

A new Prime Video film, My Policeman, is headed our way! The new movie stars actors Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and David Dawson. The romantic drama is based on the novel of the same name by author Bethan Roberts.

The story is set in the 1950s in Brighton, England. It follows a policeman named Tom Burgess (Styles) who is gay but living in a society where it’s illegal. Forced to repress his true feelings, he dates and marries Marion (Corrin) who is a schoolteacher.

But Tom is also in a relationship with museum curator, Patrick Hazelwood (Dawson). The forbidden love story follows the trio in their younger years, and also flashes forward to the 1990s where they are still reeling with longing and regret, but have one last chance to repair the damage of the past.

Of course, Styles has proven that he can sing, and most definitely has a talent for acting as well. Just look at him in director Christopher Nolan‘s film, Dunkirk! And Corrin nailed her role as Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown.

When is the movie My Policeman coming out?

The film will be released in U.S. and U.K. cinemas on Oct. 21, 2022. It will then begin streaming on Prime Video worldwide starting Nov. 4, 2022.

My Policeman is directed by Michael Grandage, with Ron Nyswaner adapting the screenplay. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robbie Rogers, Cora Palfrey and Philip Herd serve as producers. Grandage, Michael Riley McGrath and Caroline Levy are on the creative team as executive producers.
