The world of Downton Abbey has captivated audiences since the television series started in 2010. Then the 2019 film of the same name garnered positive reviews, and the sequel has done just the same!

Downton Abbey: A New Era reunites the original principal cast, as well as introduces Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, and Dominic West to the story. The historical drama follows the Crawley family as they welcome a film crew to their home, much to the chagrin of Robert Crawley. He’s left with no other option but to allow it as Downton is in need of repairs that will be covered by the money made from the production.

Lady Mary is left in charge and works closely with producer Jack Barber, while the rest of the family heads to the south of France to uncover a mystery about the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa.

Where to stream Downton Abbey: A New Era

Downton Abbey: A New Era is not and will not stream on Netflix. The film’s home will be on Peacock. The streaming service announced the Crawley family’s latest adventure will be released on June 24, 2022.

The streamer has also launched a new 24/7 Downtown Abbey channel ahead of the second film being added to the Peacock library. All six seasons of the series, the first movie, and the one-hour special The Manners of Downton Abbey are currently on Peacock.
