Austin Butler’s Elvis can’t come fast enough!

Millions of fans all over the world have been anticipating this biopic for what feels like centuries. We certainly don’t blame them for their hype. The movie looks wickedly entertaining and very well done. But did we really expect anything less from Butler, Baz Luhrmann, and the rest of the talented individuals who had a part to play in bringing this vision to life?

We still have a few more days until we can see Elvis on the big screen. However, once we finally sit through this amazing film, we can tell we’re going to experience some major withdrawals, specifically, the withdrawals that come from not seeing heartthrob Austin Butler on our screens. Thankfully, this 2022 film isn’t the last time we’ll get to see this Hollywood star.

Austin Butler’s upcoming projects

Austin Butler is set to trade his guitar and slick back hair for a space suit and cool weapons soon! That’s right, this 30-year-old actor’s next gig is in the sequel to the critically acclaimed sci-fi fantasy film, Dune.

In Dune: Part Two, Butler will be playing the role of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen alongside Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Josh Brolin, and Spider-Man: No Way Home actress Zendaya.

As the film is currently in pre-production, we don’t yet know the specifics of his role. However, going off of the original source material, we can assume Butler’s role will be highly integral in Paul’s (Chalamet) journey.

See the synopsis for Dune: Part Two via IMDb below.

"Duke Paul Atreides joins the Fremen and begins a spiritual and martial journey to become Muad’dib, while trying to prevent the terrible future he’s witnessed: a Holy War in his name, spreading throughout the known universe."

Aside from this role, Butler doesn’t have any other films lined up at the moment. But he is, in fact, set to appear in the upcoming TV miniseries Masters of the Air set to air on Apple TV+ in the future.

Although it’ll be some time before Masters of the Air and Dune: Part Two are available for us to watch, we’re glad that we only have to wait until next week to catch  Austin Butler sway his hips.

Elvis officially premieres in U.S. theaters on Friday, June 24.
