Evil season 3 has thrown fans into new territory with the story surrounding the Entity beginning to pick up. We were first introduced to what David has referred to as the Vatican’s secret service in season 2 of the series.

The arrival of Victor LeConte in “U is for U.F.O” turned the story on its head when it became apparent that what three Air Force pilots and a teenage girl saw in the sky held far greater wait for the Church than previously thought by David, Kristen, and Ben.

Spoilers ahead of Evil season 3, episode 2

LeConte took a particular interest in David and, now that David’s been ordained, the mysterious man has returned. “The Demon of Memes” saw our favorite priest popping in and out of the task set before him and his colleagues in order to run around on missions given to him by LeConte.

He was told not to question what he’d been told to do, only to do as he’d been asked. This seems to be the recruitment process for those the Entity is interested in bringing into their ranks. And, while they don’t refer to themselves by the moniker, their reputation precedes them.

Currently, LeConte is the only person from the group that we’ve met. But, considering David’s tasks allowed him to see if it was possible to save Grace Ling (the prophet we met in season 1), we’ll likely to be pulled deeper into LeConte’s tangled web.

Who plays this character who holds information close to his vest and shares very little with David? Well, you may be more familiar with the actor than you realize.

Who plays Victor LeConte on Evil?

LeConte is played by Brian d’Arcy James. Marvel fans know him as Derek Bishop in Hawkeye. He also played the President of the United States in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. James was Officer Krupke in West Side Story (2021) and is likely most recognizable for his role as Andy Baker in the Netflix hit 13 Reasons Why and as Frank Houston in the NBC musical drama, Smash.

As an agent of the Entity, James is certain to shake-up the dynamic on Evil. His interference in David’s life has already put Kristen on edge though she’s unaware of LeConte trying to recruit her friend. The pair’s relationship is walking a precarious tightrope as it is due to their feelings, the added element of espionage and secrecy could fracture it if LeConte continues to pull David away from the community he’s built at the church and with Kristen and Ben.
