Is Loki in Thor: Love and Thunder?
Tom Hiddleston very quickly made his mark as the trickster brother of Thor, Loki. Will we get to see Loki in Thor: Love and Thunder?
The only actor we can really picture as Loki is Tom Hiddleston. That being said, the TV series Loki has certainly given us other versions of the character that we’ve come to love. However, we want the original back in the Marvel movies.
Thor: Love and Thunder is coming very soon. The fourth in the Thor standalone movies, it will focus on events after Endgame. What does that mean for our favorite God of Mischief? Will we get to see Loki in the movie?
Loki is not coming back for Thor: Love and Thunder
Judging by the trailer and everything else about the movie, we’re not expecting to see Loki return. Hiddlestone did also previous tell Empire that the movies have gone as far as they can when it comes to the story of the two brothers. That was a major hint that Loki wouldn’t return for the fourth movie. This will be the first of the Thor standalone movies where the Trickster hasn’t returned.
The character was killed off in the main Avengers movies. In fact, Thor went on a revenge mission at first to kill Thanos due to the death of Loki. When they tried to reverse the snap, it didn’t bring everyone back from the dead. Thor’s brother couldn’t be saved.
We ended up finding out what happened to Loki in the TV series on Disney+. There is going to be more of Loki’s antics in the second season of the TV series, which will hopefully arrive soon! Production is supposed to start this summer, which should mean a 2023 release date.
