It was like a dream come true for Friends fans in May 2021 when the famous cast got together once again for an epic reunion special. There was so much anticipation going into the show, especially after many delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they truly delivered! Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were joined by other cast members to relive their favorite moments and spill some behind-the-scenes secrets.

Though fans were disappointed not to see a few favorite Friends stars such as Paul Rudd and Cole Sprouse, the reviews for the reunion were extremely positive. So much so, it didn’t take long after the show premiered on HBO Max that people started asking when the next reunion would be. Would the cast get together again in a few years to talk about the beloved sitcom once more?

Will there be another Friends reunion?

Unfortunately for diehard fans, it seems the general consensus is that we won’t be getting a Friends: The Reunion part 2. The experience was awesome for the cast members, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they want to do it again. Courteney Cox recently spoke about the possibility with singer Faith Hill while being interviewed for Variety, as reported by Insider, and shared why she won’t return for a second reunion.

But her reason for not wanting to is pretty surprising! Cox isn’t avoiding the nostalgic emotions nor is she fearful that fans will get Friends fatigue with another reunion. Instead, she just doesn’t want to do it again because she thinks she will be too old!

Confirming the cast won’t do another Friends reunion, Cox said, “Can you imagine? We’re 80 and, ‘let’s go back in.'” See a clip of the interview below.

We’ll be curious to see if Cox changes her tune in the coming years. The 58-year-old star is still thriving in her acting career and of course, fans would love to see another reunion. Plus, the actress

received for first Emmy Award nomination

for

Friends: The Reunion

, and it was reported that

each main cast member was paid around $2.5 million

for the scripted special. I don’t see why the cast wouldn’t want to do another reunion in the next decade.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch

Friends: The Reunion

right now on HBO Max.
