What is Kate Winslet’s next HBO role after Mare of Easttown?

Kate Winslet’s talent has been showcased on our screens for years. Ever since Titanic, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing her as the star she is. One example is television series Mare of Easttown on HBO. And, the actress isn’t done working with the TV network!

Mare of Easttown is a limited series created by Brad Ingelsby for HBO. The crime drama had a total of seven episodes with Winslet as the lead character, a detective investigating a murder in a small town near Philadelphia.

The 2021 show was highly acclaimed by critics for its story, representation of women, characters, and acting. Winslet herself received a Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as Marianne Sheehan in the series.

Other than Mare of Easttown, the actress also starred in HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. She took home a second Emmy for her portrayal of the titular character. It seems both Winslet and HBO’s partnership has been very successful. So is the star’s next project with the network?

What is Kate Winslet’s next HBO role after Mare of Easttown?

There is indeed another series in the works between Winslet and HBO! She is set to star and produce an adaptation of 2022 novel, Trust, written by Hernan Diaz. The author will also serve as an executive producer.

The book is set in 1920s New York and follows the story of legendary Wall Street tycoon, Benjamin Rask. He’s neither happy with a novel that’s been written about his life nor the portrayal of his wife, Helen Rask, in it. He asks a secretary to ghostwrite his memoir to set the record straight. But, the secretary realizes he’s trying to rewrite history and his wife’s place in it.
