Chucky season 2 updates: Release date, cast, and more

Chucky fans were super excited to learn that the horror-drama (and dare I say comedy?) was getting a second season on the SYFY and the USA network. And now, we finally have more details about what to expect, who is returning for another round of the possessed doll and when Chucky season 2 will drop.

Spoilers ahead if you have not watched all season 1 episodes of Chucky.

The first season of Chucky took fans by surprise. As much as we love this possessed doll, we had our doubts. Well, at least I did. And the series may have arrived just in time for Halloween, but horror fans enjoy the fun thrills any season! Even as we approach the holidays, we’re all about Chucky! Sadly, season 1 has come to an end after only 8 episodes. But it’s not all bad news.

Is Chucky season 2 happening?

Yes! The network was quick to renew the series, and on Nov. 29, Deadline broke the news that Chucky had been renewed for season 2 by USA Network and SYFY. According to the source, NBCUniversal reports that the horror series has reached 9.5 million viewers in its first season, that’s plenty of horror fans to keep the show going. If you haven’t watched Chucky, you can binge all of season 1 on Peacock.

Chucky season 2 release date

UPDATE: Get ready, new horrors (and laughs) are only a few months away! Entertainment Weekly reports that Chucky Season 2 will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. ET. Don’t miss it! It will air on both Syfy and the USA network.

Chucky season 2 cast

Who will return for more fun playtime with Chucky? Well, those who survived the first season! This includes Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon Evans (Björgvin Arnarson), Lexy Cross (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Chucky/Charles Lee Ray (voiced by Brad Dourif), and Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent). Also starring, will be Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Jennifer Tilly.

Chucky season 2 synopsis

An official synopsis has not yet been revealed. It’s too early for that. However, it’s not too tough to guess. Season 1 left us with a fun cliffhanger about what’s to come, and the surprising appearance of Tiffany — the doll, not the human (it’s complicated).

Again, as soon as we learn more about season 2, we’ll update this post!
