Where the Crawdads Sing cast: Who’s in the movie?

Where the Crawdads Sing hits theaters on Friday, July 15. The movie, which is an adaptation of the book of the same by Delia Owens, will take viewers to the marshlands of North Carolina. It’s a dangerous stretch of territory that our protagonist, Kya, has called home since she was abandoned as a child.
Mystery blankets Kya. Isolated from her community, she doesn’t have the kind of roots that make her a familiar figure or a trust-worthy one, at least to the residents of Barkley Cove. Kya has a connection with two young men from town, but when one of them is found dead, she’s immediately suspected of foul play.
This mystery thriller begs the question of what one woman will do to survive when that’s what she’s done all her life with very little help or companionship. It also examines the secrets in the marsh as well as Barkely Cove. Nothing is ever as it seems and prejudices can leak in, keeping people from seeing the truth and only accepting the story they can tolerate.
