Roswell, New Mexico season 4, episode 6, “Kiss From a Rose,” gave us some answers while also continuing to give us more questions. With Michael facing an illness, and Isobel and Kyle in the aftermath of having sex, there’s a lot going on for the squad. Plus, Dallas and Maria faced some revelations of their own. How are things fairing for not just the triad, but also Max?

When Michael comes down with several illnesses, Liz gets to work figuring out the cause. It appears as with his powers being drained, the regenerative cells in his body are not working to protect him from being sick. Michael is devastated to also soon find out that Bonnie was the reason he lost his powers.

According to Bonnie, who has met with Max at the Sheriff’s station, she took his powers to protect him from Clyde. He was going to prey on Michael’s yearning to return home and Tezca had wanted to kill him. It’s not exactly clear why Tezca wants Michael dead, although she’s not clear on a lot of things.

For example, Max is unable to get information out of either Bonnie or Tezca involving the Alighting or why he and Liz are part of the puzzle to going home. All Max knows is that his powers are getting harder to control, especially when trying to have a romantic moment with Liz.

Roswell, New Mexico season 4, episode 6 leaves Michael powerless

In fact, Max makes a rash decision to have Bonnie take his powers. We’re not sure what his plan is, considering he didn’t talk to Liz at all and they can’t stop Tezca if both Max and Michael are powerless.

Speaking of, Michael may not be able to get his powers back. With him being sick, Maria attempted to call Alex, to no avail. Seriously, we’re concerned that no one has realized that something is up at this point.

Not only has Maria been helping to care for a sick Michael, she also began experiencing some odd happenings. Two things connected to her mother mysteriously fell around her. It makes her believe that somehow, her mom is still connected to her and trying to communicate.

She’s not the only one to come to some realizations. Dallas is still trying to dig through his memories of his dad from 1947. When he gets Michael to use a piece of the Lockhart Machine to try to talk to his dad again, it doesn’t do much. However, Michael does recognize a Bible from the cave Bonnie took him to once.

The Bible in question is later used with Isobel’s help, who brings Dallas to a memory with his father. There, they believe it’s possible Theo’s glasses will be key to helping him learn more.

Roswell, New Mexico season 4, episode 6 also provided quality relationship woes

As for Isobel, she also found out about Kyle’s feelings, eventually. Even though he was content not to talk to her, a conversation with Eduardo led Kyle to realize he would likely feel better if he got the words out rather than holding them in.

Even though Kyle wants to wait for her, Isobel can’t do that to him. She knew what it was like to do that to Anatsa and she couldn’t hurt Kyle that way.

It might have hurt to watch, but it was understandable on her part. She is still reeling from her break up and Kyle is an important person to her. Isobel may not realize it, but they do have a connection and one that she needs to see once she is ready for it. It was the right thing to do to give Kyle the truth as it stood now, even as painful as it was.

With Eduardo working to make amends with his daughter, Sonya, and going on a road trip with Kyle, we’re sure to get more information about the happenings in Roswell. Now if we could get answers about Alex, that would be great!

Plus, how will Liz react to Max deciding to get rid of his powers? Well, we’ll have to wait and see! Let us know in the comments below what you thought of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4, Episode 6.
