What is the Hulu movie Not Okay about?

Next week, Hulu subscribers will be able to finally watch Not Okay!

This highly anticipated summer movie is the perfect film to watch if you know a thing or two about the dangers that come with lying on social media and how one’s digital footprint can follow them for the rest of their life no matter what they do. It’s also a great watch if you always wanted to understand the pros and cons of cancel culture and how deeply the phenomenon has ingrained itself into the fabrics of our society.

Not Okay follows the life of Danni Sanders, an ordinary girl who tells a little white lie in an attempt to turn her mundane life into one full of praise and adoration from online strangers. However, when her fibbing goes a little too far—landing her in water so hot not even she can handle the backlash—she starts to realize that maybe having the spotlight on you isn’t all it’s meant to be.
