If you haven’t already heard, a new comedic mystery thriller called The Resort just dropped on the streaming platform Peacock.

According to Peacock, the new series is considered “a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time.”

The main cast includes William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Luis Gerardo Mendez, Skylar Gisondo, and Nick Offerman. Guest stars to look out for are Debby Ryan, Ben Sinclair, Parvesh Cheena, Becky Ann Baker, Dylan Baker, and Michael Hitchcock.

The series was filmed in Puerto Rico and created by Sam Esmail while the show runner is Andy Siara. So what can we expect to see in The Resort?

What is The Resort on Peacock about?

The Resort tells the story of a couple, Noah and Emma, celebrating their 10th anniversary on a trip in the Mayan Riviera.

There, Emma realizes that she’s not connecting well with her husband and fears that her marriage isn’t advancing while Noah remains content in their relationship, much to the chagrin of Emma. While vacationing, the couple become entangled in the disappearance of two people on the island that happened fifteen years ago.

Each episode is intended to move the couple one step closer to solving the mystery, but can they figure out what happened before the end of their trip while trying to resolve what’s left of their marriage? Tune in to find out!

The official trailer provides just a tease into what viewers might encounter as they follow this young couple on a mysterious journey to find out what happened to the two missing persons. The show might seem to lean more into the eerie than the funny, but it looks to be filled with lots of laughs as well due its stellar ensemble cast of known comedic actors.
