The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will follow the timeline of the Second Age of Middle Earth, thousands of years before the events that brought us to the journey found in the LOTR franchise. In actuality, it also takes place years before The Hobbit as well.

At this point in Middle Earth, things remained peaceful until evil began to emerge once again. Some cast members of the series include Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Nazanin Boniadi, Megan Richards, and more.

When fans watch the show, they can expect to see the story behind the creation of the rings, Sauron’s rise, Númenor’s Epic Tale, and the alliance between Elves and Men.
